"I used to live on the northwest side and always enjoyed coming here. I moved out of that neighborhood years ago and still make it a point to come to Cafe Touché a few times a year. It's a charming place with a beautiful ambiance, friendly staff, and (when the weather is nice) a beautiful outdoor patio. Lately I've made this my go-to brunch spot for meeting up with friends who live in the suburbs and want to meet someplace in between. I was here over the weekend and tried the Touché Toast for the first time: why the heck have I never had it before? It was so good and the server let me substitute bacon for andouille sausage which was OUT OF THIS FREAKING WORLD. I also recently had the cinnamon apple pancakes (which I opted for sans ice cream): it was the perfect amount of food for someone who loves pancakes but doesn't want to feel uncomfortably full for the next 24 hours. Do not be fooled; lunch and dinner are pretty great here too. Drinks are also good and you really cannot beat the value for the price. Next time you are in Edison Park, hit this place up!"
